The wine that defines Australian fine wine. Penfolds Grange is a Langton's Exceptional and one of the most celebrated wines in the world — a multi-regional, multi-vineyard Shiraz (and occasional Cabernet) made in a style of extraordinary richness, concentration, and longevity. Created by Max Schubert in 1951 against the wishes of the Penfolds board, Grange has since been recognised as a living cultural treasure. American oak maturation, two years in new hogsheads, produces a wine of dark fruit, chocolate, mocha, and an almost immortal structure. Expect to cellar for twenty years minimum.
