The principal wine by volume and one of Australia's most celebrated Shirazes. Georgia's Paddock is 12 hectares of dry-grown Shiraz in deep red-brown gravelly loam on a north-facing slope — the more plush, opulent expression. Dark cherry, plumy, mocha fruit with chocolaty ripe tannins and underlying savoury oak aged in American oak. First vintage 1982. A Heathcote icon.
