Australia's benchmark Gamay, and arguably the finest produced outside Beaujolais. Barry and Jan Morey's Beechworth Gamay is 90% whole bunch fermented on skins for two weeks, with a small Pinot Noir addition. 95 points Mike Bennie, Wine Front. Slinky, silky and electrifying — bright red cherry, pomegranate, spice and wild herbs lifted by granite minerality. From vines planted in 1984 at 560m elevation on granitic soil.
