St Henri is aged in large old vats rather than new small barrels, producing a Shiraz of extraordinary purity and subtlety — no oak flavour dominates, only fruit and regional character from across South Australia. A Langton's Outstanding wine with a devoted following, it is medium-weight, savoury, and aromatic in its youth, evolving into remarkable complexity over ten to twenty years. The old vat style is one of Australia's most distinctive winemaking traditions.
