Single-vineyard Hunter Valley Shiraz from the Tallawanta block, planted on the characteristic red basalt and sandy loam soils of Pokolbin. A step below Graveyard in price but not in ambition — medium-bodied, savoury, and distinctly Hunter in character with red cherry, iron-rich earth, and fine silky tannins. A wine that rewards three to five years of patience and will age gracefully for fifteen or more.
