Named for the founding Ashmead family, this single-vineyard Cabernet comes from vines planted in 1944 near the banks of the North Para River. Estate-grown and matured 18 months in French oak puncheons and hogsheads, it is a wine of seamless elegance — blackberry, dark chocolate and bay leaf — that the family calls their 'epiphany wine'.
