Zinfandel

Among Australia's oldest commercial Zinfandel, planted in 1972 when David Hohnen brought cuttings back from California. This is a rare and distinctive wine — full-bodied, spicy, and generous with red and dark fruit character, pepper, and a characteristic rustic vitality that old-vine Zinfandel carries. Only a handful of Australian producers work with the variety at all; Cape Mentelle's version is the benchmark.
