About

White Gate Wine Co explores a lighter side of the Barossa. We work with varieties that thrive in warm climates and pick earlier to preserve freshness and balance. Fermentations often include whole bunches, with gentle extraction and patient élevage in older oak. The goal is not power or excess, but wines that carry energy, texture and drinkability. These are wines shaped by the rhythm of the vineyard and the vintage, not by formula. Barossa has long been known for its weight and richness. While those wines have their place, we’re interested in something different, wines that move with ease across the table and invite another glass. Wines for long lunches. Late afternoons. Good company.

Citrus all prominent, great line of acidity, honey and white blossoms fills the glass. Unbelievable length, balance and weight.

Floral abundance evident instantly on the nose, rose petal, violets and lavender. Bosy light to medium in weight, a sense of plushness instantly in the mouthfeel, bright red cherries, blackberry and red fruits fill the palate. Fine dusty chalky tannin.
